Kicking off at 9am, you should get your hungover self down to Carlton to enjoy meticulously filtered drops of pure gold… well, black gold. You can enjoy some deliciously rich Black Coffee, play some videogames, flick through some zines AND RZA YO FACE!

Yes, it’s a Saturday morning extravangza where Parts & Crafts promise:
In addition to that BC heat, we’ll be firing up the Risograph for the blinding debut of “RZA yo face”. For a measly dollar dollar bill (y’all), we’ll RZA-graph that beautiful mug a yours onto a one of a kind placemat – situate your coffee on it, pin it to your wall, put it on eBay, be the envy of your clan. BYO face!
Just saw this Ruler Melbourne 2011 recap promo. I’ve also been seeing their marketing all around town, they work hard. We dig their designs, t-shirt shopping time?

Based on the cult comic by Daniel Clowes, Terry Zwigoff’s black comedy will spark hoots of recognition for anyone who’s been to art school. (Remember, the only piece of paper less valuable than one of your paintings is your degree.) Surrounded by pretentious misfit students and has-been teachers, bright-eyed Jerome suffers for his art in the most farcical way.

We’re on the ball today. If you’re reading this now and like what you see, there’s still a whole hour to get down to Rtist gallery to check out the Marvel street art event and exhibition. While we were expecting the usual Rtist crowd, this event was a more family-friendly afternoon bonanza. It was great seeing all the young kids getting some early exposure to two of Melbourne’s graff talents; Shem and Sirum1. The battle is raging on with what could be a rad Captain America and Iron Man installtion/mural to promote the upcoming Avengers movie. Winners will be announced at 5 today – stay tuned!
Another great component to the Marvel event was the inside exhibition showcasing work by David Yardin. That man does some amazing work with pen and pencil. We’re lovin his Marvel babes. It’s a definite must-see – even if you’re not a fan of Marvel. Though really, who isn’t.
